Tale of Two Natures

Ps 51:10-12 / Romans 7:14-20 / Galatians 5:16-25
Psalm 51:10-12 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your
presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
For every righteous spirit in which God thrives, there is a
corresponding trait of your flesh that is purposed to destroy your spiritual nature.
Why Do We Do What We Don’t Want To Do
But Don’t Do What We Want To Do?
Sinful Nature vs. Spiritual Nature
How does the Sinful Nature Get so big?
Spiritual Principle: What we feed grows?
Sinful Nature vs. Spiritual Nature
How does the Sinful Nature Get so big?
Spiritual Principle: What we feed grows?
Your Spiritual Nature cannot and does not eat the kind of food that your Sinful Nature eats.
Your Sinful Nature cannot and does not eat the same kind of food your Spiritual Nature eats.
How can we get the Sinful Nature to die and the Spiritual Man to grow?
- What we feed grows.
- What you starve dies.
- You never satisfy anything by feeding it.
- You only increase its capacity to grow.
