Making Changes: The Transformation Choice

How Do You Handle Your Hungry Man?
Matt 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for
righteousness, for they will be filled
Matt 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you
Jesus is what we hunger for.
The HUNGER of Which Jesus is speaking.
- It's POWER
- It Needs a Revelation
Rom 1:17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
It comes from the DESIRE OF GOD
Phil 3:10-11 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
HUNGER IMPLIES
- I am empty
- I cannot stay the same
- This is what I need
- This is what I want
- This is possible
- I am not the source
- Someone else it
- I must seek it.
Why we don't HUNGER?
Amos 8:11-12 "The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land - not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD. 12Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
