Ps 51:12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation …
In Genesis 1, the word "good"can be translated: a full body response; to dance.

Joy is in God's nature and character.

God created us with the unique capacity to experience His joy.

We won't dare to dance with God and step into His embrace without being drawn by His joy!

Sin is Satan's attempt to kill, steal, and destroy the joy that God has for you.

Do I believe that the Joy of God's Salvation can be restored in my life?

Yeshu=salvation; Yeshua = Jesus.

Joy is an issue of who...

Facts about Joy that Dances:

1. JOY FLOWS FROM GOD

Ps 16:11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

John 15:11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

2. JOY RELEASES SPIRITUAL STRENGTH

Neh 8:10 "...For the joy of the LORD is your strength."

Is 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

Joy opens your heart and life to the appropriate source of spiritual power.

3. JOY THRIVES IN THE MIDST OF PAIN AND SUFFERING

Heb 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross,

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything

A test of joy that comes from God is its ability to exist, endure, enhance, and thrive in the midst of pain and suffering.

4. JOY HAS TO BE COMPLETE

John 15:11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

If your joy is complete –Nothing can take your joy away.

5. JOY MUST BE EXPRESSED

Ps 47:1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.

Ps 30:11-12 You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

5. JOY MUST BE EXPRESSED

Phil 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

1 Th. 5:16-18 Be joyful always; 17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

"pet peeves" vs "pet joys"

CONCLUSION:

Brokenness is realizing God is all we have; Hope is realizing God is all we need; and Joy is realizing that God is all we want.
